We’re building capability for Emotional Safety & Resilience

SESA founder Jay Baughan recognised an international need for communities to possess a practical capability to create emotional safety within and around them; nurturing the skills required for Emotional Resilience.

Globally, evidence is growing of on-going traumatic events within communities, from corrosive emotional abuse & neglect, physical abuse & neglect, and exposure to domestic violence, substance abuse and mental health issues.

SESA is a global capability building initiative, embedded into countries it supports individuals and groups to build the powerful understanding and practical capability to address Emotional Safety & Resilience within and around them.

Specialist Youth Leaders

The world’s population surpassed 7 billion in 2012; people under the age of 30 account for 3.5 billion.

We’re supporting youth leaders to establish the cultural sensitivities and qualified capability for social emotional development;  capability to support youth cohesion and development efforts. These are leaders who will contribute to more sustainable interventions to influence child & adolescent emotional safety, and build cohesive societies.

Educational Centres of Excellence

Two in five teachers know of school children showing signs of mental health issues including anxiety, panic attacks and depression.

We create national pathways which transform and nurture educational settings into centres of excellence in child & adolescent emotional safety & development. Each setting demonstrates culture of Emotional Safety, and the holistic approach to professional development which ensures all staff seamlessly contribute to building and nurturing the skills for Emotional Resilience.

Student Emotional Resilience

Stress and anxiety are making day to day life difficult for hundreds of thousands of students.

We’re embedding into Further & Higher Education settings & Youth Development Projects to provide a dedicated learning & development environment. It enables young people to progressively build the self-awareness and competencies required to tackle rising anxiety and mental ill-health which is sweeping through communities across the world. Establishing the capability for wellbeing and mental healthcare, within a dedicated digital community.

Supporting Workplace Wellbeing

12.5 million working days lost due to UK work-related stress, depression or anxiety in 2016/17.

We support employers with a dedicated learning & development environment which seamlessly embeds into the workplace. It enables employees at all levels, to measurably build the self-awareness and competencies required for sustainable Emotional Resilience. Establishing the culture, holistic capability and expertise required to manage workplace wellbeing.

In 2012, SESA Founder Jay Baughan identified a global need for young people within communities to have the capability to build Emotional Safety & Resilience within and around them.

This he called the Emotional Capital in Young People.

Through a dedicated relationship development vehicle called PluggedIN, Jay builds the international links to support and sustain SESA capability building and Emotional Capital in Young People.
